Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment seeks a Principal Highways and Drainage Engineer to lead the design and delivery of highway and drainage infrastructure for development projects in the UK. The role requires taking ownership from feasibility to construction with strong technical leadership and client liaison.

The successful candidate will oversee highways and drainage design, work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, and support progression to chartership and professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in UK development infrastructure engineering.
• Experience delivering highway and drainage designs for development projects.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design and delivery of highway and drainage infrastructure for development projects.
• Developing highway designs for Section 38 and Section 278 technical approvals.
• Preparing drainage designs supporting Section 104 agreements.
• Producing and reviewing drainage strategies and Flood Risk Assessments.
• Developing surface water and foul drainage networks from feasibility through detailed design.
• Undertaking drainage design from first principles.
