The Highways Development Management Team at Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Principal Highways Development Management Officer to assess residential, commercial and strategic development proposals, providing expert highway and transportation advice.

You will shape safe, sustainable and well-connected places across the county and represent the Highway Authority's position at planning committees and inquiries.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years’ experience in highways development management, transport planning or related discipline.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Assess development proposals and provide expert highway and transportation advice.
• Represent the Highway Authority's position at planning committees, appeals and public inquiries.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues to maintain high professional standards.
