My client has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Level Geo-Environmental Engineer for either their Milton Keynes or Swindon offices, offering excellent development and progression prospects compared to larger consultancies. They are a busy and friendly geo-environmental, geotechnical, and site investigation company operating on projects of varying sizes across the south of England, Wales, and the Midlands. Their clients range from small to medium house builders to commercial businesses and mineral extraction companies, providing staff with a broad knowledge base in a short period.
A thorough technical understanding of contaminated land legislation and consultancy is required. An understanding of interpretative geotechnical report writing and familiarity with the EIA process and reporting would be advantageous.
The candidate should be degree qualified in a relevant field, with a related Master’s Degree being advantageous. Chartership with a relevant professional body is also desirable. The candidate must have substantial experience specializing in Ground Investigation, particularly in Geo-Environmental aspects.
The ideal candidate would be solution-focused, possess excellent communication skills, and have a proven HSEQ and technical record. They should be an effective project manager, highly competent in managing and mentoring junior staff.
