Job summary

Burendo is seeking an experienced Principal Full Stack Engineer to lead L2/L3 support across diverse applications and ecosystems. You will set engineering standards, drive high-quality service delivery, and mentor engineers while collaborating with stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on cloud experience (AWS or Azure), excellence in multiple languages, and a track record of leading engineering teams in a managed services context. Location: Leeds, UK.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of at least one: Java, Python, Node.js, or C#.
• Hands-on cloud architecture experience with either AWS or Azure.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Understanding of ITIL practices.
• Recent experience leading engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the highest technical escalation point within a managed service function.
• Set and maintain engineering standards across teams within the service.
• Lead the management and resolution of complex L2/L3 incidents.
• Lead root cause analysis and post-incident investigations for major incidents.
• Own service onboarding from a technical readiness perspective.
• Participate in an on-call rota, including out-of-hours incident response.
• Mentor and support the development of engineers at all experience levels.
• Work with service delivery colleagues to manage client relationships.
