Amey is seeking a Principal Flood Engineer to lead flood management design efforts, coordinating a team to deliver compliant, innovative solutions for water-related projects. The role involves collaboration with clients and senior engineers to ensure milestones are met.

You will guide concept design, supervise detailed design work, and contribute to bids and contract delivery while mentoring staff and promoting best practices in safety and governance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in flood risk management within civil engineering projects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and governance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee flood management concept designs aligned with project briefs.
• Lead design work across preliminary and detailed stages to meet requirements.
• Mentor engineers and technicians, supporting career development.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
• Support bids and delivery on related contracts; manage site supervision when required.
• Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System and CDM regulations.
