Amey is seeking ambitious graduates to join our Water & Flood Management and Civil Engineering teams in Birmingham or Cardiff. As a Graduate Civil Engineer you’ll work on flood risk, drainage and water management projects, supporting feasibility, design and delivery from day one.

Responsibilities

• Support the feasibility, design and delivery of flood risk and water management projects.
• Assist with engineering calculations, technical assessments and design development.
• Prepare engineering drawings and documentation using industry-standard software.
• Contribute to hydrological, hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessments and drainage studies.
• Undertake site visits, inspections and surveys.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, feasibility studies, business cases and client presentations.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Develop an understanding of relevant design standards, CDM requirements and industry best practice.
• Support project delivery whilst building your path towards professional chartership.
