Job summary

Brandon James Limited in London is seeking an experienced Principal Fire Engineer to lead delivery of fire engineering strategies on complex buildings, mentoring teams and liaising with architects and clients.

You will apply UK Building Regulations (Approved Document B, BS 9999), develop performance-based fire strategies, review calculations, and drive technical leadership across residential, commercial, healthcare and mixed-use schemes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fire Engineering or related field.
• Extensive UK fire engineering consultancy experience.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and fire safety standards.
• Experience leading fire strategies for complex buildings.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of fire engineering strategies for complex projects.
• Undertake fire safety assessments, reviews and calculations.
• Develop performance-based fire solutions under UK guidance.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Liaise with architects, developers and authorities.
• Manage multiple projects with quality, schedule and client satisfaction.
• Support business development and client relationships.
• Advise on Building Regulations (Approved Document B, BS 9999).
