Job summary

Brandon James is seeking a Fire Engineer to join a growing technical team, delivering bespoke fire strategies, smoke control and performance-based designs across commercial, residential, mixed-use and public sector developments. The role offers exposure to new-build and existing projects with mentoring and clear progression.

The Fire Engineer will lead smaller projects, attend meetings on-site or remotely, and support business development.

Qualifications

• A degree within Engineering, Fire Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of consultancy experience within Fire Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• A proactive and ambitious mindset with a desire to progress.
• Experience producing technical reports and presenting solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

• Producing fire strategy reports and technical documentation.
• Attending client and design team meetings both remotely and on-site.
• Managing multiple live projects from concept through to completion.
• Assisting with fee proposals and supporting business development activity.
• Delivering clear technical advice to clients and stakeholders.
• Supporting and mentoring Graduate Engineers within the team.
• Contributing to research initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintaining CPD and developing specialist technical expertise.
