Job summary

Evolito Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Technical Specialist - Electromagnetics to advance 3D electromagnetic FEA in Simulia Opera or alternatives and to improve motor modelling accuracy. You will work with project teams on magnetic design, modelling, and thermal simulation for high-performance electric machines used in aerospace propulsion.

Qualifications

Experience in electric machine design and electromagnetic modelling.
Proficiency with 3D magnetic FEA tools and simulations.
Strong grounding in electromagnetic theory applied to machines.
Ability to develop nonlinear magnetic models and loss analysis.
CAD integration and parametric modelling capabilities.
Scripting to automate simulations; Python or MATLAB literacy.
Clear communication of technical concepts to peers.

Responsibilities

Advance and maintain 3D electromagnetic FEA simulation codebase with new features.
Refine nonlinear magnetic models and high-frequency effects for Evolito machines.
Contribute to documentation of simulation workflows, code, and design.
Support electromagnetic design using analytical and simulation techniques.
Perform trade-offs across different simulation tools.
Collaborate with project teams on thermal and system performance.
Engage with stakeholders to ensure design intent and process alignment.
