Job summary

SES Engineering Services is seeking a Principal Electrical Technical Manager to join the SES North team, delivering complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors from our Trafford Park base in Manchester.

The role combines work-winning with live project delivery, providing strong leadership, governance and technical excellence across pre- and post-contract activities, with a focus on electrical engineering services for large-scale programmes.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for adherence to relevant business processes, undertaking Design Reviews and managing technical actions.
• Provide governance and leadership for engineering activities pre and post contract across projects.
• Lead and coach Preconstruction Leaders, Design Project Managers, Project Managers and Engineers.

What you'll be doing:

Our Principal Electrical Technical Managers are a valuable part of our business, and their role will encompass both work winning and the delivery of live projects whilst providing strong functional leadership, management, governance and excellence for all engineering activities pre and post contract, across either a single large project or portfolio of projects.

As our Principal Electrical Technical Manager, you will:

• Be accountable for adherence to relevant business processes, undertaking Design Reviews, coaching of MEP Designers & management of technical actions.
• Attendance, contribution & collaborationregarding: -'Making a Great Start' & Strategy Presentations&IPD Workshops.
• Technical accountability for the mechanical engineering servicesfor the project.
• Accountability for technical assessment, coaching and development of Preconstruction Leaders, Design Project Managers & Project Managers & Engineers.
