Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer with extensive building services electrical expertise to provide technical leadership across complex projects. The role requires ownership of electrical design solutions, team leadership, and client-facing input, with opportunities for overseas travel and international project work.

The position emphasizes delivering technically robust, compliant designs and mentoring engineers, in a senior leadership capacity within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Building Services Electrical Engineering at a Principal level.
• Proven ability to take technical responsibility for electrical engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of building services electrical engineering principles and standards.
• Experience leading electrical engineering teams and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent client communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall technical responsibility for electrical engineering aspects of projects.
• Lead development and delivery of electrical design from concept to detailed design.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers and project team.
• Review and approve electrical designs, calculations, specs and documentation.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and ensure BIM model reviews and QA across designs.
