Job summary

SYSTRA in the UK is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across high-profile building and infrastructure projects. You will drive technical excellence, mentor engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust electrical solutions from concept through to construction.

You'll shape internal design standards, engage with clients, manage deliverables within programme and budget, and promote safety and sustainability across projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of building services electrical design for built environment or transport.
• Experience across full project lifecycle from feasibility to construction.
• Ability to review and improve technical work and advise colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead production and approval of electrical design concepts and technical docs.
• Provide technical leadership across the design team and feasibility to construction.
• Contribute to internal standards and design approaches for quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure aligned electrical solutions.
• Review outputs and guide others with sound engineering judgement.
• Prepare reports, calculations, specifications and tender docs.
