Job summary
Tetra Tech in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer to lead design and delivery of electrical solutions across life sciences, defence, education, commercial and healthcare sectors. You will own medium-complex projects and ensure alignment with client briefs, programmes and industry standards.
You will engage with clients, mentor engineers and support business development while using Revit MEP, AutoCAD and other tools.
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, with Chartered status or working towards it.
- Proven experience leading electrical design across multiple sectors.
- Strong knowledge of regulations, sustainability principles and digital tools.
- Effective communicator with collaboration and project delivery experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and review detailed electrical designs, calculations, specifications and reports.
- Deliver compliant, efficient and sustainable solutions across RIBA stages.
- Manage multiple projects or workstreams with minimal supervision.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers; support resource planning.
- Contribute to bids, fee proposals and business development.
