Placements24 client seeks a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead major projects from Randburg, Gauteng. You will drive technical direction, develop complex electrical designs, and mentor engineers while maintaining high quality and innovation across sectors.

The role requires a Master's in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years in design, and PE/Pr. Eng registration. Strong client interaction and global project experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in electrical design with complex projects.
• PE or Pr. Eng registration mandatory.
• Experience in power systems, building services, industrial design.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for electrical design projects.
• Develop complex electrical system designs: power distribution, lighting, earthing, standby power.
• Lead design reviews and ensure standards compliance.
• Mentor and guide a team of electrical engineers and designers.
• Act as technical advisor to clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed design docs, calculations and specs.
• Contribute to business development and proposals.
• Apply best practices and innovative design approaches.
• Manage technical risks and ensure project quality objectives.
