Jacobs is seeking a Principal Ecologist or Associate Director to lead the Birmingham ecology team within the UK business. This role blends strategic leadership with technical excellence across water, transport and energy infrastructure, fostering high-impact teams and delivering complex ecological components.

You will influence project direction, mentor staff, and drive bids while promoting collaboration across disciplines and business units in a global organisation.

Qualifications

• Chartered Ecologist or on track to achieve chartered status.
• Significant experience leading ecological input on large-scale projects.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Birmingham ecology team and contribute to UK-wide leadership.
• Provide high-quality ecological advice to clients, regulators and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Lead ecological monitoring and survey programmes and bid-winning activities.
• Apply expertise in EIA, Habitat Regulations Assessment and Biodiversity Net Gain.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions across water, transport and energy projects.
