Job summary

Omexom UK is seeking a Principal Design Engineer to lead a design team and oversee multi-disciplinary projects through to successful delivery. You will ensure technical compliance, safety and quality across the portfolio, mentoring graduates and shaping design processes.

You will act asLead Designer on complex projects, coordinate with clients and construction teams, and support business development with utility clients. Extensive UK design experience is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with professional registration/recognition.
• Experience delivering multi-disciplinary design projects in a UK environment.
• Strong knowledge of CDM2015 and relevant UK standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and manage delivery of projects to cost, schedule and quality.
• Review and approve design deliverables and responsible for design checking.
• Coordinate with principal designers, site teams and external consultants.
• Support business development with DNOs and TSOs; contribute to tendering and design tools.
