Genomics England is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across our data engineering capability. You will set standards for secure, scalable data platforms and work across cloud and hybrid environments to deliver complex data solutions.

You will mentor engineers, influence architectural direction and collaborate with governance, product, and research teams to advance our data platforms responsibly. Hybrid working model with national offices across the UK.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in data or infrastructure.
• Experience operating at Principal level in data engineering.
• Ability to lead architectural direction across multiple teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead and contribute hands-on to design and delivery of complex data solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance on Lakehouse, distributed and event-driven systems.
