Job summary

GlobalLogic seeks a Principal Data Solution Architect to lead strategic data initiatives across BFSI sectors, bridging C-suite data strategy with distributed engineering execution on cloud platforms. You will set data standards, drive modernization, and oversee governance and security at scale.

You will collaborate with executive stakeholders to define roadmaps, mentor teams, and translate complex data requirements into actionable, scalable architectures while delivering measurable ROI.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of digital engineering or IT consulting experience within BFSI.
• Deep technical proficiency in modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) and toolsets (dbt, Airflow, Kafka).
• Mastery of Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Streaming, MLOps, and GenAI integration to drive innovation.
• Expertise in zero-trust security, lineage, privacy (GDPR, CCPA), and financial regulations (BCBS 239, DORA, Basel).
• Track record of automated CI/CD pipelines and agile practices that accelerate time-to-value.
• Strong C-suite presence (CDO, CIO, CTO) aligning architecture with business strategy.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own enterprise data estates across modern cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
• Establish company-wide data modeling standards balancing quality, trust, and agility.
• Translate business goals into scalable blueprints, governance frameworks, and architecture principles.
• Lead legacy-to-cloud modernization enabling zero-copy sharing, lineage, and AI workloads.
• Pilot emerging architectural patterns and define enterprise technical standards.
• Guide cross-functional engineering teams to deliver resilient architectures.
• Standardize tooling, schema evolution, and canonical modeling guidelines.
• Enforce CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, and DataOps telemetry.
• Ensure architectures comply with info-security, privacy, and regulatory standards (BCBS 239, DORA, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Embed taxonomy, schema drift detection, and data lineage controls into pipelines.
• Mentor engineering leads, fostering agile, accountable delivery culture.
• Present roadmaps and visions to executive leadership and C-suite stakeholders.
• Drive presales by translating requirements into actionable technical roadmaps.
• Partner with Technical Delivery Leads to ensure seamless execution.
