Job summary

NUVIA UK is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to support delivery of civil/structural subway systems as part of the subways Team in Devonport. The role requires leading design packages, providing guidance, and coordinating interfaces across engineering functions.

Applicants should have a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and be Chartered with ICE or working towards chartered status. Remote work is available with hybrid opportunities nationwide in the UK.

Qualifications

• Design of high complex services subways/routes in a Nuclear/Regulated environment.
• Regulations, legislation and standards applicable to civil/structural design and construction (CDM responsibilities).
• Substantiation of SFRs to support nuclear safety cases.
• Experience in technical management of complex design development throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage one or more technical design packages ensuring requirements are met during the design process.
• Provide technical design guidance and review of sub-contract design for compliance with specs and standards.
• Collaborate across engineering functions to integrate designs within the facility layout and manage interfaces.
• Maintain engineering configuration and change control for design intent.
