Job summary

NUVIA UK, part of the VINCI group, is seeking a senior CS&A Engineer to lead civil/structural delivery across projects within regulated nuclear environments. The role involves autonomous work within defined scope, technical authoring, checking and governance-aligned verification of structural documents and drawings.

Applicants should have demonstrable experience in structural design within regulated settings, familiarity with Eurocodes/BS standards, and professional registration or progression

Job description

• Responsible for the delivery of structural engineering outputs within their assigned scope of work. Able to lead CS&A delivery across multiple projects.
• The CS&A Engineer applies sound structural engineering judgement to develop, check, and deliver safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose civil and structural engineering solutions.
• The role operates with a high degree of autonomy within defined scope and is responsible for the technical authoring, checking and verification of structural engineering documents and drawings in accordance with applicable governance arrangements.
  Demonstrable experience delivering structural engineering design within a regulated or complex engineering environment.
• Experience developing and checking structural engineering deliverables in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, and technical specifications.
• Experience undertaking structural analysis, assessment, and verification of new and existing structures.
• Experience applying relevant codes and standards (e.g. Eurocodes, BS standards, nuclear-specific standards where applicable).
• Experience assessing structural integrity, load paths, stability, and serviceability considerations.
• Experience identifying, recording, and managing technical risks, assumptions, and constraints.
• Experience supporting design reviews, independent checking, and technical assurance processes.
• Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams and interfacing with other disciplines (e.g. mechanical, EC&I, project management).
• Demonstrated commitment to nuclear safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Relevant structural engineering experience commensurate within a senior engineer role.
• Ability to meet role-specific security clearance and site access requirements.
• Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE, IStructE) or working towards and close Chartered (Eng) status.
