Matchtech is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join an expanding engineering team delivering complex, safety-critical control systems for a defence contractor. The role focuses on leading the design, development and integration of software within advanced control and automation systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical decisions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure robust, verifiable solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Formación

• Experience in industrial control software development and integration.
• Ability to lead software design decisions and architecture.
• Exposure to safety-critical or highly regulated projects.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop software for industrial control systems.
• Lead technical decision-making and software architecture activities.
• Develop and configure PLC and SCADA applications.
• Support system integration, testing and commissioning activities.
• Produce and review technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
