Salary: £60-80k dependent on experience.

Location: A mix of working in our London office and remote from home.

Role overview

As a Principal Consultant, you will work on engagements with global development clients, such as multilateral development banks, major philanthropic foundations, and UN agencies. This includes supporting their digital strategy journeys, advising on digital programming and investment portfolios, and helping them achieve impact with partners and investees, including governments, cities, and civil society organizations.

• Deliver client engagements focused on strategy development and thought leadership, with accountability for delivery, impact, our teams, and our commercials.
• Develop strong, proactive, and trusted relationships with leaders and their teams. Act as an advisor and coach, helping shape their portfolios and deliver measurable value.
• Apply expertise in strategy development and advisory to increase digital maturity and improve digital strategies and investments to enhance development outcomes.
• Use your knowledge and networks in digital development to provide high-quality intelligence and advice to clients.
• Scope and conduct mixed-method research and analysis.
• Help clients challenge organizational norms and adopt new ways of thinking.
• Contribute to the growth and vitality of Public Digital as a values-led business.

Requirements

Your experience in digital strategy development within large organizations will be vital. You have worked on strategy or research in complex institutional environments and can confidently communicate your impact.

• You excel at stakeholder management and are comfortable working closely with senior leaders as a trusted advisor and clear communicator.

• You have experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research and analysis.
• You are collaborative, open, and skilled at visualizing and mapping ideas.

Applicants with experience in strategy consulting, government, multilateral development banks, UN agencies, or philanthropy are especially welcome. Knowledge of digital development trends like digital public infrastructure and digital public goods, and familiarity with service-led digital transformation approaches, are desirable.
