Job summary

Arthian Ltd. is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead delivery of civils projects across drainage, roads and renewables in the UK. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive client communications and contribute to bids with a focus on energy, defence and manufacturing sectors.

The role requires Chartered status or progression towards chartership, strong technical capability, and excellent reporting and presentation skills. Travel across the UK and some overseas work may be required.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Member of ICE, or working towards chartership.

Responsibilities

• Technical and managerial delivery of civils projects (drainage, roads, renewables).
• Lead bids and tenders; explore opportunities in energy, defence and manufacturing sectors.
• Understand team development needs and lead them to perform at their best.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary groups to provide integrated project delivery.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Technical and managerial delivery of civils projects, including drainage, roads, and renewable sector opportunities.
• Client facing, comfortable leading bids and tenders, exploring new opportunities – particularly in energy, defence and manufacturing sectors.
• Understanding the development needs of team members and leading them to perform at their best.
• Liaising with multidisciplinary groups and teams to provide clients with a fully integrated approach to projects.

About You

• Drive and ambition to succeed, supporting the business to do the same.
• Relevant experience of working on multi-disciplinary projects and tasks.
• Experience in an engineering consultancy, with particular expertise in project managing and delivering civils projects.
• Demonstrable technical excellence in civil engineering design.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and guidance.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) including production of clear and precise technical reports and effective presentation of findings/recommendations.
• People management and staff mentoring experience beneficial.
• Ability to work to tight timescales and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering or other relevant degree, experience and skills.
• Chartered Member of ICE, or demonstrably working towards chartership.

Additional Information

• May require travel (including occasional overnight stays) across the UK and overseas, depending on project requirements.
