Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd in London is seeking a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to join our growing civil engineering design team. You will lead highway and drainage design on high-profile residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, from feasibility through to construction.

You will work in a collaborative environment, delivering technically challenging infrastructure solutions and mentoring junior engineers while developing your career with support for professional

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience within UK civil engineering consultancy/design environments.
• Strong technical experience in highways and drainage design.
• Experience delivering infrastructure solutions for residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.
• A strong understanding of relevant design standards and industry guidance.
• Experience using design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• The ability to manage projects independently and support the development of junior team members.
• Ideally Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional accreditation.
• Experience preparing Section 38, Section 104, Section 106 and Section 278 agreements.
• Experience coordinating with local authorities and external stakeholders.
• Previous experience acting as a technical lead on civil engineering projects

Responsibilities

• Leading civil engineering design projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction stages.
• Delivering highway and drainage design solutions for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, specifications and calculations.
• Managing project programmes, resources and technical delivery.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
• Liaising with clients, local authorities, contractors and other design disciplines.
• Ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical standards, on time and within budget.
• Supporting the continued growth and development of the wider engineering team
