Job summary

Softcat plc is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the Programme and Project Management team. You will manage infrastructure and managed services projects for public and private sector clients, using PRINCE2 and coordinating multiple internal teams and vendors.

Based at Softcat, you will travel to client sites as needed, lead projects of varying size, keep stakeholders updated, and work with colleagues across services to deliver on time, within budget, and to the required quality.

Qualifications

• Background in managing customer infrastructure or managed service projects.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner qualified or proven track record.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Strong IT industry knowledge.
• Customer-focused and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of infrastructure and managed services projects for public and private sector customers, applying PRINCE2 methodology across full lifecycle.
• Deliver solutions that meet customer needs within cost, timescale, and quality.
• Coordinate internal service teams, remote resources, and third-party vendors.
• Keep stakeholders informed and engaged, working on site and from Softcat base.
• Lead projects independently while supporting fellow project managers and coordinators.
