Job summary

Softcat plc is seeking a Project Manager to deliver infrastructure and managed services projects for public and private sector clients. The role involves leading projects from initiation to delivery, coordinating multiple internal teams and external vendors, and maintaining strong stakeholder communication.

You will apply PRINCE2 throughout the project lifecycle, manage costs, timescales and quality, and travel to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable background in managing customer infrastructure or managed service projects, in large-scale environments.
• Experience delivering projects using PRINCE2 methodologies.
• Excellent project management skills with a proactive, collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of infrastructure and managed services projects for public and private sector customers.
• Apply PRINCE2 across the full project lifecycle and ensure delivery within cost, time, and quality parameters.
• Coordinate internal service teams, remote resources, and third-party vendors to align skills to each project.
• Maintain stakeholder engagement and provide regular updates on delivery progress, risks and issues.
• Lead projects independently while supporting junior project managers and coordinators on varied sizes and complexities.
