Job summary

Zest Education are seeking a motivated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Burton upon Trent. You will support the class teacher and assist pupils across the primary age range, helping to create engaging learning experiences.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children, strong communication, and a patient, caring approach. An Enhanced DBS is required or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, coaching, youth work, or similar setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, patient, and caring approach.
• The ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and progress.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
• Support pupils with a range of abilities and educational needs.
• Help develop pupils' confidence, independence, and social skills.
• Contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment.
