Job summary

Zest Education is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Staffordshire and South Derbyshire, including Tamworth and surrounding areas. You will assist teachers, work with groups, and help create an inclusive, engaging classroom.

Experience in schools or related settings is preferred. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desired, with strong communication and safeguarding awareness essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, or related setting.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with delivery of lessons and activities.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning.
• Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
• Assist with preparation of learning resources and materials.
• Support pupils with varying abilities and educational needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Promote pupils' confidence, independence and wellbeing.
• Support children's social, emotional and academic development.
