Job summary

Zest Education is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to work across Staffordshire and South Derbyshire, including Lichfield, Cannock, Tamworth, Burton upon Trent, Swadlincote and surrounding areas. Roles range from day-to-day supply to long-term placements and both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children in school settings, a Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent), and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, coaching, youth work, tutoring, or similar setting.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils within the classroom. Your responsibilities may include:

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, coaching, youth work, tutoring, or similar setting
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, patient, and caring approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
