The Canterbury Academy Trust is recruiting Teaching Assistants for our Primary provision to support students in classroom learning and small group interventions.

Contract hours are 32.5 per week, Monday to Friday (8:30am–3:30pm), Term Time only plus 5 development days. Salary is Band B FTE (£26,822 per annum) with pro‑rata pay (£20,536.29) based on hours and weeks worked. There may be opportunities for breakfast and/or after‑school clubs.

Qualifikationen

• Good literacy and numeracy skills to communicate with staff and students.
• Experience working with children in a school or learning environment preferred.
• Familiar with child development and able to respond to individual student needs.

Aufgaben

• Assist with planned learning activities and teaching programmes.
• Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher.
• Support teacher in monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress.
• Provide feedback to pupils on attainment and progress under guidance.
• Support learning by providing resources for lessons.
• Support pupils in social and emotional well-being and report issues.
• Share information about pupils with staff and external agencies as appropriate.
• Support inclusion and independent learning for all pupils.
• Be an ambassador for The Canterbury Academy Trust.
