Job summary

Fletching Church of England Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team from September 2026. The role is part-time/term-time only, 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks a year plus annual leave, with salary pro rata.

The hours are 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. You will support children’s learning and wellbeing, deliver small-group and 1:1 interventions in reading, writing, and maths, and work with teachers and the Inclusion Lead to plan,

Qualifications

• Be passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
• Ideally have experience working as a teaching assistant with primary-aged children, ideally across a range of year groups.
• Be confident in delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions in areas such as reading, writing, and maths.
• Work closely with class teachers and the Inclusion Lead to plan, deliver, and review high-quality support.
• Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and strong communication skills.
