Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Wallasey. You will support pupils one-to-one and in small groups, helping to deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum and support children with SEND.

The role requires patience, flexibility and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, working closely with teachers and staff to help every child Thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school is essential.
• Experience supporting children with SEND is required.
• Patient, caring and committed to improving children's learning and wellbeing.
• Flexible and confident supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assist with delivery of engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Provide additional support for children with SEND.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Work closely with teachers and the school team to support progress.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
