Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a highly capable Teaching Assistant for Tickton CE Primary School. The role involves indoor and outdoor learning support, plus pastoral duties, with one-to-one work for pupils with high needs. A NVQ 2 in Teaching and Learning Support or equivalent is required. DBS clearance is mandatory.

The post is part-time (31.24 hours per week), permanent, Monday to Friday, with DBS/medical clearance and a commitment to safeguarding children.

Qualifications

• Must have a NVQ 2 Certificate in Teaching and Learning Support or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support within indoor and outdoor learning environments, including learning and pastoral support.
• Deliver one-to-one support for pupils with high needs as required and support pupils with SEN in a positive and nurturing manner.
• Work as part of a team to create a stable, calm, caring and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
