Job summary

The Abbey Primary School in Northampton is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils, including those with SEN, on a fixed-term contract to 31 August 2027. The role includes 1:1 support and a lunchtime supervision duty.

Qualifications

• Experience with primary aged children including those with SEN, preferably in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support a small number of children with special educational needs, often on a 1:1 basis.
• Work with pupils to support social and emotional development and well-being.
• Collaborate with colleagues to raise standards and promote a caring ethos.
• Contribute to safeguarding and inclusion initiatives.
• Take on lunchtime supervisor duties (1 hour daily) at Grade C level 3.
