Job summary

St Augustine's Academy in Dunstable is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join its one-form-entry primary school. The role supports pupils, including those with SEND, in 1-to-1, small-group and whole-class settings, and contributes to a caring Christian ethos.

The post is up to 31.25 hours per week, term-time plus 5 INSET days. Salary depends on NJC scales, with two available channels, closing date 12 noon 7 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Be actively supportive of the Christian ethos of the school.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be flexible; may work 1 to 1 with pupils with SEND or support groups and whole class situations.
• Demonstrate initiative and encourage independence and resilience in pupils.
• Work well as a member of a team and have a heart for the community.
