A leading primary school in Leeds is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. Salary: GSAL 16, full-time equivalent £25,832. Actual salary payable based on 37.5 hours per week, term-time only plus 10 days, £21,333.71.

The Grammar School at Leeds (GSAL) is seeking an enthusiastic full-time Teaching Assistant to join the Primary School team from September 2025, working with children aged 3 to 11 years.
You do not need an early years qualification but must have at least two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant. A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is desirable.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children’s learning, both academically and pastorally, by working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and assist with resource preparation. They will provide individual and small-group support, helping pupils develop skills and confidence, while supervising the class when needed.
Pastoral care is a key aspect of this role. The successful candidate will ensure all pupils feel safe, supported, and included, promote positive behaviour and social development in line with school policies, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and colleagues to enhance pupil progress. They will also contribute to the wider school community by assisting with events and open days.
A full and relevant early years TA qualification is essential, along with a minimum of two years’ experience.
