Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant Level 2 for a permanent, full-time position at a Towcester primary school. Immediate start available and you will support the class teacher, work with pupils individually and in small groups, and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a primary school or similar educational setting.
• Caring, patient and encouraging approach to supporting children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work as part of a wider school team.
• Confident supporting pupils with varied abilities and learning needs.
• Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with engaging lessons and activities.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
• Assist pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Adapt support for different learning needs, including SEND.
• Prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence and resilience.
• Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, stimulating classroom.
