Job summary

Mesne Lea Primary School is hiring a Teaching Assistant Level 2 on a fixed-term basis until August 2027 to support classroom teaching and learning across the primary phase. Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification.
• Level 2 English and Maths, or GCSE grade 4/C or above.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning through high-quality classroom practice.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help pupils make excellent progress.
• Assist teachers in preparing learning resources and maintaining an engaging classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to support children's learning and wellbeing.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including educational visits, events and extracurricular activities.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every child can succeed.
