Job summary

Mesne Lea Primary School in Salford is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join Prestolee Multi Academy Trust. The successful candidate will have relevant Level 2 TA or Childcare qualifications and experience supporting pupils with diverse needs.

You will assist teachers with learning resources, deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions, promote good behaviour and contribute to the wider life of the school. This fixed-term role runs until August 2027, with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant Level 2 in a primary school.
• Level 2 TA or Childcare qualification with Level 2 English and Maths.
• Experience supporting individuals and small groups.
• Ability to support pupils with SEN.
• Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
