Job summary

Mesne Lea Primary School, part of Prestolee Multi Academy Trust, is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our team. The successful candidate will support pupils with diverse learning needs, assist teachers with resources, and help create a calm, inclusive classroom.

Applicants should hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification, plus Level 2 English and Maths (or GCSEs).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
• Level 2 TA/Childcare qualification or equivalent.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning with high-quality classroom practice.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help pupils progress.
• Assist teachers in preparing learning resources and maintaining an engaging classroom.
• Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development.
• Work with teachers and other professionals to support learning and wellbeing.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events and activities.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
