Job summary

Knotty Ash Primary School is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join our supportive team. You will work with class teachers to support learning in individuals and small groups under supervision. Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD and Down Syndrome, is desirable.

You will assist with planned activities, prepare resources, monitor progress and help create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive, including supporting personal care when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Down Syndrome, is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of planned learning activities and prepare resources.
• Monitor pupil progress and promote positive behaviour.
• Help create an inclusive learning environment where all children can achieve their potential.
• Support children with personal and intimate care needs when required.
