Job summary

Astro Education Ltd partners with Manchester and surrounding schools to recruit enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for immediate start. The role is full-time, long-term in primary settings, with daily hours 8:30am-3:30pm during term time, and offers a competitive daily rate based on experience.

You will work closely with teachers to support pupils academically and pastorally, including 1:1 and small groups, helping with phonics, reading, writing and maths, while fostering positive behaviours and

• Experience supporting children in classrooms or schools.
• Strong communication with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils academically and pastorally alongside the class teacher.
• Assist with 1:1 and small group learning.
• Support pupils with diverse needs including SEND.
• Help with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources.
• Contribute to safeguarding and positive behaviour in the classroom.
