Job summary

Premier Education is recruiting enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants for long-term roles in Manchester, covering Ardwick, Longsight and Levenshulme. The role involves one-to-one and small-group interventions, supporting phonics, reading, writing and maths, and aligning with classroom learning.

Roles are full-time, 8.30am–3.30pm, with long-term, ongoing opportunities and DBS/safeguarding in line with KCSIE guidance. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children
• Ability to follow intervention plans and provide feedback
• Patience, encouragement and ability to build relationships

Responsibilities

• Delivering one-to-one and small-group interventions
• Supporting pupils with phonics, reading, writing and mathematics
• Using teacher-prepared plans and resources to deliver structured activities
• Helping pupils revisit learning and overcome specific barriers
• Monitoring pupils' participation, understanding and progress
• Recording intervention outcomes and providing feedback to the class teacher
• Supporting learning within the classroom when interventions are not taking place
• Following safeguarding, behaviour and school policies
