Ast ro Education are partnering with Manchester primary schools to recruit Teaching Assistants to support learning across year groups. Roles are flexible, ongoing, and start immediately, with both part-time and full-time options.

• Patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Confident supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups, and in the classroom.
• Able to collaborate as part of a team while using initiative.
• Flexible and willing to support across different year groups.
• Strong communicators with pupils and staff.
• Committed to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Work with pupils 1:1 and in small groups to support learning.
• Assist with preparation and organisation of classroom resources.
• Help maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional needs.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
• Support the delivery of phonics, reading, writing and maths activities.
• Observe and report on pupil progress and development.
• Contribute to the wellbeing and safeguarding of pupils.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, TAs and wider school staff.
• Support with playtime, lunchtime or transitions when required.
