Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a highly-rated primary school in Devizes, graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The role involves supporting a Key Stage 1 (KS1) class, working with children aged 5-11, including those with SEND/SEN needs such as ASD and ADHD.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development of children in KS1
  • Managing challenging behaviours with a calm and caring approach
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to enhance student learning
  • Assisting with SEN and behavioural needs
Candidate Requirements:
  • Enhanced Child DBS (Mandatory)
  • Experience working with KS1 children or young people with additional care needs
  • Experience managing challenging behaviours
  • Calm, caring, and resilient personality
  • Strong communication, reading, writing, and numeracy skills
  • Team Teach training (desirable)
  • Degree 2:2 or higher in Childcare, Education, Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, or STEM subjects
