Whitehill Primary School is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team. This role combines classroom support with leading learning in classes across the school when teachers are absent.

You will work across the full primary range, from Nursery to Year 6, supporting learning, promoting inclusion and maintaining the positive culture that underpins everything we do. The school is committed to helping every child shine and offers strong professional

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Confident leading a class and managing behaviour effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work across Nursery to Year 6 and support inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality classroom support alongside teachers across the school.
• Supervise whole classes during short-term absences and deliver pre-planned activities.
• Work across the full primary range from Nursery to Year 6.
• Support pupils with learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and staff.
