Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Harrogate and North Yorkshire. Roles cover EYFS, KS1 and KS2, with responsibilities including supporting the whole class, 1:1 work, phonics and reading support, and running small group activities.

Previous school experience is ideal but not essential. All applicants will be subject to safeguarding checks, DBS and references, and must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is advantageous.
• Ability to support phonics, reading and basic maths.
• DBS checks and right to work in the UK are required.

Responsibilities

• Support the whole class during lessons.
• Provide 1:1 support for individual pupils.
• Assist with phonics and reading activities.
• Run small group activities to aid learning.
• Support pupils with SEND needs.
• Help maintain classroom behaviour and routines.
• Work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 as required.
