Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant for a welcoming school in Leicestershire. The role supports pupils with SEN and assists the class teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons. Start date is after May Half Term, with flexible full-time or part-time options.

The successful candidate will work one-to-one and in small groups, helping implement IEPs/EHCPs, support emotional wellbeing, and foster confidence and independence in pupils. A proactive, patient approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Has experience in a primary school or similar setting.
  • Has supported children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs).
  • Is patient, empathetic, and resilient.
  • Builds strong, positive relationships with children and staff.
  • Brings energy, creativity, and a sense of humour to the role.
  • Is committed to helping every child feel valued and included.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher to create engaging and inclusive lessons.
