Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a caring Primary School Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis in Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan. The role is mornings only from 8:30am to 12:00pm, starting 2nd November, supporting ALN and behavioural needs.

You will work closely with the class teacher, ALNCo and school team to promote learning, emotional regulation and positive behaviour, ensuring consistent routines throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Must have right to work in the UK.
• DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one.
• EWC registration is required.
• Experience supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis is preferred.

About the role

Connex Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 in a Primary School in Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan. This role is mornings only. 8.30am to 12.00pm and is to start from 2nd November. We are seeking to appoint a caring, patient and committed candidate to provide dedicated support for a pupil with potential Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and behavioural needs.

Assignment details

The role will involve providing individualised support, promoting positive behaviour, supporting emotional regulation and helping the pupil to engage positively with learning and daily school routines.

We are looking for someone who is calm, nurturing and resilient, with a positive and consistent approach to managing challenging situations. The ability to build trusting relationships, adapt to individual needs and work collaboratively with the class teacher, ALNCo and wider school team is essential.
