Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS to KS2 in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. You will help with lesson delivery, manage behaviour, and provide individual or small-group support to reinforce learning.

About the role

Connex Education is partnering with Primary Schools across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to recruit experienced Teaching Assistants. You will be supporting the class teacher with behaviour management, providing additional instruction, and assisting with classroom activities. You should be able to work closely with pupils to reinforce learning, offer one-on-one support, and ensuring a positive learning environment.

Assignment details

A primary teaching assistant you will be working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. You will support the class teacher by helping with lesson delivery, managing classroom behaviour, and providing individual or small group support to pupils. You will assist in preparing learning materials, monitoring pupil progress, and creating a positive, inclusive environment. Your role is essential in helping young learners develop foundational skills, supporting both academic and social-emotional growth.

Person Specification

• Aged 18 and over
• C or above in Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
• DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
• EWC registered
